Your Library Director Welcomes You

Hello and welcome to the Madison County Library! My name is Mrs.Veronica R. Landmann, M.L.S., and I have been the Library Director since 1999. I received my B.A. from Texas A&M University in 1991 with a double major in Russian and English. I received my M.L.S. from Texas Woman's University in 2012. I enjoy reading a variety of genres, but particularly Historical Fiction, Humorous Fiction such as Christopher Moore or Tom Robbins, Biographies, and Non-Fiction concerning Russian or French History, Culture, Art, Language, Literature, and Architecture. In my spare time I enjoy travel--local day trips, across the country, or across the pond (my most memorable trips were to study in Russia when I was in college and to Paris for my 50th Birthday); reading (of course); cooking new recipes; visiting art museums and exhibits; sewing and crochet; and family history. A fun fact about me: my dearest husband (R.I.P.) and I married right here in the Madison County Library!  We are here to help you navigate online, use the computers, and recommend great books for you to read. I hope you find the library and community information on this website useful. Please contact me if you have any comments or suggestions for either the website or the library's services or collection. Thank you for visiting and let us know how we can help you.
