Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.
Who can get a card
A library card is free for residents of Madison County or Out-of-county residents. Children must be able to write their complete name and be in first grade to get a card in their name.
How to Get Your Card
Please bring 2 proofs of address, such as Driver's License, phone or utility bill, insurance card, or other official mail; bring the name, address and phone number of a reference, someone who knows you but does not live in the same house.
Borrowing Limits
25 items total can be checked per card. Only 6 audios or videos can be checked out per card. Everything checks out for 2 weeks. If you register as a Homeschooler, you may check out 25 items and have a 3 week check out period. Paperbacks are available on the honor system--you can take as many as you like and bring them back whenever you are done--no limits!
Placing Holds
You can reserve an item by searching our catalog and logging in to your account in Apollo. The address is https://madison.biblionix.com. It is also available on the homepage of this website.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
You can renew your items by phone, email, in person, or you can log into your account in Apollo and renew online. The address is: https://madison.biblionix.com
Library Fines
Fines are .05 per book per day. Audios and videos are .50 per item per day. Fines do not accrue on days we are closed.
