Computers
16 public access computers with Internet and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a one-hour time limit unless arrangements are made with the library staff. Any school work or job search activities do not have a time limit. Complete computer and internet use policies are available at the front desk.
Printouts/Copies
Printouts and copies are 25 cents per side or 10 cents per side for school/student, church, community organizations, or if you bring your own paper, black & white only. Color copies and printouts are 50 cents per side. We only copy/print letter, legal or ledger size paper and we will not print your labels, envelopes, business cards or specialty papers. There is a 50 copies/printouts limit per week per customer and per document.
FAX
FAX service is available for sending or receiving faxes. The cost is .50 per page to receive and $1.00 per page to send. The fax number is the same as our phone number.
IRS Forms
IRS forms are available when they are received by the library--we have no control over when the IRS sends them or what forms they will send. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Copies/printouts of forms are available at www.irs.gov and cost .25 per side.
Interlibrary Loan
Eligible patrons 18 years and older or with parent permission and who have been in good standing for 1 year may request to borrow items from other libraries. There is a $2.50, $3.00, or $3.50 postage fee per item based on weight to be paid when the item is picked up. When postage fees are in excess of $7.00 for large or bulky items, patron will pay half of postage fee.
Special Collections
We have an extensive genealogy and local history collection for in-house use only. We do research for $5.00 per query and .25 per side. We also have a great collection of Spanish and Bilingual books for adults and children.
Storytime
Storytime is on Thursdays at 10:00 am for toddlers and preschoolers. Please see the Kids & Teens section or the calendar for a schedule and specific dates.
Summer Reading Program
Usually scheduled for 6 weeks in the summer months of June and July. Please see the calendar for more information or ask library staff for details.
Program for Kindergarten through 5th grade. Reading, games, crafts, guest speakers, and great prizes. Check in May for specific days and times.
Community Meeting Room
We have a public meeting room available for your group meetings. Contact the library for available days and times.
Language Learning
Patrons with a library card account number can register and access our online language learning program PRONUNCIATOR. Over 80 languages are available and the program can be accessed from your PC, tablet, or phone. Please see staff for details and instructions on how to access the program.
Online Databases
TexShare Databases Program allows libraries to provide authoritative and ad-free electronic articles, books, tutorials, and other resources to their patrons 24/7. The TexShare Databases Core for FY20 provides access to over 27,000 journals, over 171,000 ebooks, and over 15 million images, videos, and interactive resources. It includes a total of 70 electronic resources inlcuding: 2 interactive learning resources, 1 job and career resource, 2 genealogy and local history collections with maps, 2 collections of legal forms and information, Chilton auto manuals, and much more.
Online Library Resources
ABC Mouse for children, Ancestry Library Edition, and Pronunciator language learning are available in-house on library computers.
TexShare Cards
provide library patrons with the privilege of visiting over 500 public, academic, and medical libraries throughout the State of Texas to borrow books and other physical materials not available at their home libraries. Please see the page TexShare Cards for detailed information.
